Estimated profit and loss = (Closing price - Average opening price) × Closing quantity × Contract face value
Closing a short position
Estimated profit and loss = (Average opening price - Closing price) × Closing quantity × Contract face value
Note: For market price closing, the actual market transaction price is used for calculation; for limit price closing, the order price is used. This formula is the profit and loss before deducting fees. The actual profit and loss need to subtract the opening + closing fees +/- funding fee.
